The Connecticut Military
Department opened the New England Disaster Training Center on July 8, 2010.
Since then, NEDTC has providing specialized training opportunities to
Connecticut's disaster response community. We added specialized
disaster-response venues at our training location at Camp Hartell, Windsor
Lock, Connecticut. We partnered with other state and federal agencies to
develop a disaster response training curriculum that provides for the needs of
private and public disaster response organizations and agencies. The curriculum
is a work in progress that is designed to be scaled to needed training, from
basic individual skills and specialized organizational responses to large-scale
response operations. NEDTC continues to grow and provide innovate training
opportunities. We welcome partners who would like to contribute their
expertise by developing additional training opportunities for our disaster
response community.
