The Connecticut Office of Policy and Management (OPM) is the Connecticut state agency charged with implementing the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) – Stimulus Act/Recovery Act for the justice programs listed below.
OPM - Byrne Justice Assistance Grants (JAG)
The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program is the primary provider of federal criminal justice funding to state and local jurisdictions. JAG funds can be used to support all components of the criminal justice system. JAG funded projects may address crime through the provision of services directly to individuals and/or communities and by improving the effectiveness and efficiency of criminal justice systems, processes, and procedures. OPM - STOP Violence Against Women (STOP VAW) Formula Grant.
The STOP program is designed to promote a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to enhance services and advocacy to victims, improve the criminal justice system's response, and promote effective law enforcement, prosecution, and judicial strategies to address domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
