AG Jepsen Announces Settlement with GlaxoSmithKline
Attorney General George Jepsen is announcing that Connecticut has joined with 44 other state and territorial attorneys general in a settlement with GlaxoSmithKline, LLC to resolve allegations of unlawful promotion of the asthma drug, Advair, and antidepressants Paxil and Wellbutrin.

Settlement Will Provide $4.5M to PURA for Electric Supplier Enforcement, Consumer Education
The state Public Utilities Regulatory Authority will receive $4.5 million for consumer assistance and education and enforcement activity related to third-party electric suppliers under a settlement agreement with electric supplier Energy Plus Holdings, LLC, Attorney General George Jepsen and Consumer Counsel Elin Swanson Katz said today.

The United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit this week upheld the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) federal Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS) against numerous challenges brought in federal court, a decision that Attorney General George Jepsen today praised.

AG Jepsen Releases Report on Hospital Facility Fees, Physician Practice Acquisitions in Connecticut
Attorney General George Jepsen today released a report concerning so-called hospital "facility fees" and hospital acquisitions of independent physician practices. The Attorney General urged state lawmakers to approve pending legislation he proposed on these subjects to require improved notification and transparency.

Attorney General Files Agreement to Revoke Pension of Former Winchester Finance Director
Under an agreement filed in Hartford Superior Court today, the former finance director for the town of Winchester who pleaded guilty to multiple felony larceny charges for stealing at least $2 million from the town will have his pension revoked, Attorney General George Jepsen said today.

State Joins National Settlement with Shire Pharmaceuticals
