Online Change in License Information - Individual & Business Entity (All License Types)
Effective November 9, 2021
On Tuesday, November 9, 2021, the State of Connecticut Department of Insurance is going live on State Based Systems (SBS), a web-based NAIC application that supports state insurance regulation functions.

In SBS, you can visit the Licensing Quick Center to:
- Lookup a License
- Print a License
- Print an Education Transcript
- Print a Report
- Apply for a License
- Renew a License
- Attach Documents to the Attachment Warehouse
- Update Contact Information
Individuals:
- To change the demographic and/or email information – Update license information (effective November 9, 2021)
- To change DBA: Complete DBA Update Form – Email the Department at: cid.licensing@ct.gov
- To change DRLP: Complete DRLP Update Form – Email the Department at: cid.licensing@ct.gov
- To change name: Visit NIPR’s website. Select “Go to Online Application” link, you will then select Product Type “Demographic Update.”
- Residency Change – Moving into the state of Connecticut or out of the state of Connecticut.
Business Entities:
- To change the demographic and/or email information – Update license information (effective November 9, 2021)
- To change DBA: Complete DBA Update Form – Email the Department at: cid.licensing@ct.gov
- To change DRLP: Complete DRLP Update Form – Email the Department at: cid.licensing@ct.gov
- To change name: Visit NIPR’s website. Select “Go to Online Application” link, you will then select Product Type “Demographic Update.”
- Residency Change – Moving into the state of Connecticut or out of the state of Connecticut.
- Reporting of member/officer/director changes – effective October 1, 2019, entities no longer need to report these changes (C.G.S. 38a-771)
