Thank you for your interest in an internship with the Office of Governor Ned Lamont. The Governor's Internship Program provides an opportunity to learn how state government works.

Internship opportunities are available within the constituent services, legislative affairs, and legal offices. When you take advantage of this opportunity, you'll gain:

  • Practical experience by participating in daily operations of state government
  • Real-world exposure through a variety of assignments
  • Mentorship, guidance, and professional development
  • Opportunities to connect with people in your field of interest

Eligibility requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be in an undergraduate or graduate program or a recent college graduate
  • Must be able to work at least 10 hours per week
  • Applicants for law internships must be first or second year law students

Application process

Step 1: First, download the internship application by saving it locally to your computer.
Step 2: Fill it out and save it.
Step 3: Submit your application either by email or post mail. Please include:

  • Completed application
  • Resume
  • Cover letter
  • A letter of recommendation from a professor or academic advisor
