Important Information

  • When you pay electronically through NIPR, your invoice will be marked as paid immediately. NIPR will send your payment and renewal information to Connecticut within 24 hours.
  • All appointment transactions will continue to be processed as usual with NIPR during renewals.
  • All companies will be responsible for paying the NIPR transaction fees including companies that reside in states that do not have appointment renewal fees. Please note that these fees range from $1 to $10 per invoice (see transaction fees).
  • Licenses with an “Expired” status may show active appointments. You will NOT be billed for these appointments.
  • PENALTY FOR LATE PAYMENTS: Payments made after May 31, 2022 will automatically be assessed 10% of the invoice with a maximum of $15,000.00. The late fee will be included in the final amount due.

COMPANY APPOINTMENT RECONCILIATION REPORT (CARR)

NIPR offers a tool called the Company Appointment Reconciliation Report (CARR). Companies can use CARR to terminate the appointments of insurance producers who no longer represent the company.

The CARR also makes it easier for regulators and the insurance industry to renew appointments. As a NIPR customer, you can use the CARR to create a list of your active appointments for a specific company in a specific state.

The CARR also lets you complete “Not for Cause” terminations directly from the report so you can compare your company’s producer listing to the Producer Database. Terminations are generated electronically through the NIPR Gateway.
