12/15/2006 | Rizzo Electrical Contractors, Inc. of Danbury, Connecticut will begin installing a weather station and variable message signs on Route 44 (Avon Mountain). |
12/12/2006 | Wilton, Connecticut – Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that there will be a nighttime lane closure on Route 7 between School Road and Old Danbury Road, on the night of December 12, 2006, from 9:30pm to 6:00am. There will be alternating one-way traffic through the work zone and Wilton police will be on site for traffic control during this time. The closure is necessary for soil boring on the bridge over the Norwalk River and will take place, weather permitting. |

6/22/2006 | Stamford, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that construction will begin on interchange improvements to the northbound Exit 34 off ramp on the Merritt Parkway, Route 15 and Long Ridge Road, Route 104 on the week of July 7, 2006. |
5/8/2006 | State Transportation Commissioner Stephen E. Korta has announced today that work will commence Monday, May 8, 2006 on the 12 month project for the reconstruction of Dodge Avenue in East Haven. Effective Monday, Dodge Avenue will be closed to thru traffic from the intersection of Burr Street to Robert Drive, for approximately two weeks with the exception of emergency vehicles. Traffic will be diverted onto Burr Street, Gerrish Avenue and Robert Drive and detour signs will be posted to assist motorists through the area during the closure. |
