Corrective Work on State Project Nos. 151-274/294

Cheshire, CT- The Department of Transportation announced today that, weather permitting, Empire Paving, of North Haven, CT will begin milling operations on Route 70 on State Project 151-309 in the Town of Cheshire on April 24, 2008.  The limits of milling will extend from the intersection of Route 70 / I-84 EB exit ramp to the intersection of Route 70/Rice Avenue.   Paving of Route 70 is scheduled to begin on April 28, 2008.  The limits of paving are from the intersection of Route 70/Hillsdale Avenue to the intersection of Route 70/Rice Avenue.

Traffic Operations

Traffic will encounter various lane closures between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  

Motorists are advised that delays will be expected.

Construction signs and Local Police will be utilized for traffic control.
