The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing additional late night return train service and the availability of CTfastrak bus rapid transit service for the NCAA Men’s Tournament 2nd round games at the XL Center in Hartford on Saturday, March 23, 2019.

CTrail Hartford Line train service will be operating a regular schedule on Saturday, with an additional Hartford departure southbound after the game on Saturday, March 23rd. The southbound train after the last game of the evening will depart Hartford Union Station at 11:15 pm or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game (whichever is later) and make stops at Berlin, Meriden, Wallingford, State Street and New Haven Union Station. Weekend parking is free at Berlin, Meriden and Wallingford.

For northbound Hartford Line passengers, bus service will be provided from Hartford Union Station and will also depart at 11:15 pm or 30 minutes after the game. Northbound buses will drop off at Windsor, Windsor Locks and Springfield stations. Parking is always free at Windsor and Windsor Locks stations.

Fans can also take advantage of one-seat rides to Hartford on CTfastrak and select CTtransit Local & Express routes to stops within a block of the XL Center. CTfastrak will have additional buses on standby if needed. Parking is free at all CTfastrak stations with parking lots, the Szczesny Garage in downtown New Britain (with a valid CTfastrak ticket) and park and ride lots in Cheshire, Manchester, Southington, Tolland, Waterbury and Windsor.
