The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced today additional late night return train service for the NCAA Men’s Tournament 1st and 2nd round games at the XL Center in Hartford on March 21 and 23, 2019.

CTrail Hartford Line train service will be operating a regular schedule on both Thursday and Saturday, with an additional Hartford departure southbound after the game on Thursday, March 21st. The southbound train after the last game of the evening will depart Hartford Union Station at 12:15 am or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game (whichever is later) and make stops at Berlin, Meriden, Wallingford, State Street and New Haven Union Station.

For northbound passengers, bus service will be provided from Hartford Union Station and will also depart at 12:15 am or 30 minutes after the game. Northbound buses will drop off at Windsor, Windsor Locks and Springfield stations.

Hartford Line service ambassadors will be on hand at Union Station in Hartford to answer questions about the rail service and to assist passengers with the ticket vending machines. The XL Center is just a short walk from Union Station in Hartford. For schedules and fares, please visit www.hartfordline.com.

NCAA tournament officials have not announced the game times for Saturday, March 23rd. If the last game is scheduled to end after regular train service has ended, an additional train will be added southbound and bus service northbound. Additional service for Saturday, if necessary, will be announced at www.hartfordline.com.
