Veteran Status Certification - Judicial

Veteran Status Certification (Judicial). The Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs will, on request of the Judicial Branch, will certify an individual as a Veteran for the purpose of determining eligibility for certain programs available to Veterans. 

  1. Eligibility
    • The applicant must meet the definition of Veteran in CGS 27-103a.

  3. Additional Information
    • This process is used by an officer of the court on behalf of persons seeking to participate in certain programs offered by the Court for offenders. Connecticut DVA only certifies the individual meets the definition of Veteran, it does not participate in any way in the approval process for any Judicial program.
