Lt. Governor Bysiewicz is committed to honoring our veterans for their service to our nation and state. The Lt. Governor is actively working with the Department of Veterans Affairs to honor veterans for service in the Korean War and Vietnam War.

 

Lt. Governor Bysiewicz Honoring Veterans  

Lt. Governor Bysiewicz supports veterans through:

  • Working with the Department of Veterans Affairs to honor veterans of the Korean and Vietnam Wars
  • Chairing and organizing the annual Connecticut Wall of Honor Ceremony to commemorate Connecticut troops killed in Iraq and Afghanistan since the 2001 terrorist attacks

The Connecticut Wall of Honor was established by Lt. Governor Wyman in 2007. It is a permanent memorial to the 65 Connecticut service members who were killed in action. It is located in the State Capitol building and is visited by thousands of people each year.
