Gov. Malloy: Connecticut Kicks Off 2014 Tourism Season
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the state Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) and its Office of Tourism released new tracking results that demonstrate the $22 million Statewide Tourism Marketing Fund investment over the course of 18 months has generated measurable gains in overall tourism spending to the state and has helped increase positive awareness of Connecticut as a place to visit.

Gov. Malloy Introduces Legislation Protecting Horse Owners and State's Associated Agriculture Industry
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that he has introduced legislation designed to protect horse owners and the state’s associated agriculture industry by clarifying into law that domesticated horses are not wild animals and as such as are not “inherently dangerous.”

Access Health CT Surpasses Goal of 100,000 Enrollees Seven Weeks Ahead of Schedule
Seven weeks ahead of schedule, Access Health CT (AHCT) today announced that it has surpassed its self-imposed goal of enrolling 100,000 Connecticut residents and small businesses in qualify, affordable health care coverage. The total number of enrollees stood at 121,983 as of close of business yesterday.

Gov. Malloy- SBA Economic Injury Loans Available in Hartford, Tolland and Litchfield Counties

Malloy today announced that U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) federal economic injury disaster loans are available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private non-profit organizations of all sizes located in Hartford, Litchfield, and Tolland counties following a disaster declaration by the Secretary of Agriculture due to excessive moisture and heat in Massachusetts, from May 8, through October 20, 2013.
