I just created a folder and the press releases under that folder are not showing up.
Answer: To display the press releases under the folder just created, you must publish the folder as well as the press releases.

I need a user to check a checkbox and redirect him/her to a page (after a submit button is clicked).
Answer: This is not possible on a basic page within Sitecore, we do not support the embedding of form controls. I suggest using links as a workaround, possibly providing different links for different clickable options.

I published a page and somehow the rest of the document is no longer available. Is it possible to restore this page when the version tab is not showing previous versions?
Answer: Unfortunately, without page versions enabled, which is activated when a folder is assigned a workflow, there is no way to revert back to previous versions of the page. Without versioning, every publish is essentially over-writing the file, so there is nothing to revert back to.

I put an iframe on a page and it’s not showing up in preview or when published. Why is this?
Answer: If an iFrame has an HTTP URL, unfortunately it will not display. Sitecore only allows HTTPS URLs, so unless there is an https version of this page, it will not display.

I uploaded an image into the Media Library but cannot find it.
Answer:
Make sure you are uploading your images (and documents) into your Agency's media folder – not at the root level of the Media Library.

I want to delete a specific page, and when I do, Sitecore tells me it will create 14 broken links. All the links are the same though. This happens every time we delete items from the content editor and the media library. Why does Sitecore show extra broken links? It should show each link one time shouldn't it? Not the same link multiple times.
Answer: This is most likely due to versioning. When you delete a page, Sitecore will want to fix the broken link on every version of a page that the deleted page was linking too. This way if you ever had to go back to an older version, the older versions will not contain broken links.
With Sitecore, you should be able to bulk change all of those links at once by choosing link to another item or remove links, then hit continue, if needed choose the page to replace the link, then click okay. Sitecore will then fix the broken link on all those links at once. -
I want to do a mock up of a web page to share with a division director but I don't want to publish the page to the website and make it public yet. I need the url of the page to email it to the division director to review, but how do i generate one without publishing?
Answer: If the individual you are showing the page to does not have a Sitecore account, you can publish the page, but don't create any links to it from other pages yet, so it would only be viewable by those who have the specific URL or search for it using the Agency Search.
If the material is too sensitive to risk public access before approval, your best bet is screen shotting the page. -
I want to set a page to automatically publish at a future time and date. How do I do this?
Answer: Unfortunately the Sitecore system does not have a "scheduled publish" function in the way you are needing. The way it works now is that if a page is not to be viewable on the web until after a certain date/time, then any manual publishings/approvals that occur prior, will result in a 404 error if someone tried to view that page on your website.
But once that scheduled date/time is reached or passed, then any manual publishing/approval that occurs for that page will result in the page being viewable on the web.
So a publish date can be set for Sept 30th at 12am in the Publish section of the page properties, but another manual publish will still need to be done at 12am or shortly after to view that page on your site. -
I would like to embed a data collection form on my webpage.
Answer: We don't support anything in Sitecore currently which would need to store user data, but CI does have a 3rd party form-building application for simple form functionality.
You can also insert a MailTo link where users can submit their info via email either to you or another address. You can specify the subject line on these emails to allow routing to a separate inbox if you choose. -
I'm trying to get the results of a Dynamic List to show up alphabetically by title. They're kind of all over the place. How can I do this?
Answer:
You can modify the list order by checking out (locking) the list and scrolling down to the "Filtering" section. You will see a drop-down with the following options:
- Alpha
- Sort Order
- Date Created
By default, the ordering is set to Sort Order, hence the "all over the place" comment. Change it to Alpha for the results to display alphabetically.
Save your change and publish the list to see the list results change. Do this to the other lists if you want the same results. -
Is there a limit to what navigation sections can be visible?
Answer: Only the Overview section is required to be visible. All other navigation sections are optional. Enable only those sections you have content for.

Is there a way for me to post a Governor's press release on my Website Press Release section without having to re-create the entire page?
Answer: Full Migration Agencies can insert a blurb on their Press Release section of their website and hyperlink it to a Governor’s Press Release.
Lift-and-Shift Agencies currently do not initially have access to the Blurb template, but can request it by submitting a CI Helpdesk ticket. Just let us know what folder(s) you wish to have the Blurb template option display under. -
Is there a way to hide the title on the Board and Commissions Template?
Answer: By design, the title cannot be hidden or removed on this or any other task templates.

Is there any way to bulk move files from one folder to another under Media Library? I have one bureau that wanted a new folder and bunch of documents moved to it. It is very time consuming to move one at a time so I thought I would ask if there is an easier way.
Answer: If it's ALL the files from a particular folder being moved into another folder, CI may be able to help. However, if it's just certain files from a larger group, then unfortunately they’ll need to be moved manually.

I’m trying to insert an iframe into a page and I set the width to 100%, but I’m finding that there is still a scroll bar for left and right. I think the content I am iframing is just too wide. Do you know the maximum width in pixels that will fit without scrolling? I know it varies by device but even with a large monitor it still scrolls, so I think I need to resize the original content.
Answer: The max width of the content area on a page with left-nav is about 770px.
The max width of the content area of a full width page (no left-nav area) is 1200px.
